Editorial policy

Editorial decisions are made by the editor, Taya Sel. Brands and affiliate networks do not review, approve or pay for our content. Whether a link earns a commission has no bearing on whether a ring or brand is included, how it is described or where it appears on a page.
How we research
- We rely on primary sources where possible: brand policy pages, product listings, laboratory education material and official guidance such as the FTC Jewelry Guides.
- Brand facts are summarized in our own words, labelled as the brand's statement, linked to the source and dated with when we last checked them.
- If we cannot verify something, such as a founding date, a price or a policy, we say so rather than guess.
- We do not publish invented reviews, ratings, testimonials or prices.
What we do not claim
Unless an article states otherwise, we have not handled, worn or laboratory-tested the products mentioned. We do not describe content as "expert tested" or "gemologist approved". The author does not hold gemological certifications, and we will say so plainly if that ever changes.
Reviews and updates
Every guide shows a published date, an updated date and a note describing its last editorial review. We revisit brand pages and commercial guides regularly, and sooner when a reader or brand reports a change. Small copy edits do not change the updated date; factual changes do.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it promptly. Send corrections through the contact page.
Use of AI tools
We may use software tools, including AI writing assistants, for tasks such as outlining, checking consistency or suggesting clearer wording. Every page is reviewed, fact-checked and edited by the editor before publication, and the editor is responsible for everything published.
Images
Ring illustrations on this site are our own original line drawings, not product photos. We show brand product images only when the brand or affiliate program permits it.
